SwiRoc Corp. was established and invested by Hermes-Epitek in 2016. The goal is to incubate a world leading company in laser solutions.
After years of research and development, SwiRoc announced series of high-power laser solutions, establish its footprint in several industries, and start building presence in global market.
The Mandarin name of SwiRoc is “Lei Jie”, which is picked from I Ching (an ancient Chinese divination text). The first character “Lei” means thunder, and it pounces in the same as “La”ser in English, indicating the start of life. The second character “Jie” means the use of fire, which is a giant technology leap in mankind. Combining the meaning of both, it wishes for the prosperity of SwiRoc and its success in laser industry, as energetic as “fire” and as swift as “thunder”.
Moving forward, SwiRoc will continue to revolutionize the laser industry, creating value solutions for all customers, and finally driving the success in global market.
History
SwiRoc was funded by Herme-Epitek(HE) in 2016 as part of incubation program, and later became the first high power fiber laser solution provider in Taiwan. As much of the contribution in semiconductor sector done by the mother company HE, SwiRoc was expected and carried the same mission to conquer the laser industry.
The core team of SwiRoc are formed by several Ph.D. in photonics and optics background. Many of which, have years of R&D and working experience in global companies that tops the diodes and lasers products.
Despite of the world recognition of Taiwanese tool machine makers, a key component is missing in the local supply chain: laser modules and systems. This is where HE likes to take the step up ahead and create a cradle for laser industry in Taiwan. Not only to ensure the the vertical integration in the sector, but also to create a vision that makes Taiwan shines in the world by providing a high value laser solution.
Finally in 2019, SwiRoc was officially registered and spinned off from HE
R&D
SwiRoc offers three major product lines based on fiber laser technologies, including High Power Fiber Laser (FL series), High Power Flattop Fiber Laser (FT series), and Direct Diode Laser. Besides laser modules, the laser system that comes with programmable scanner / process head are also available.
Each series has the optimal uses and applications, they are all well suited for metal processing, such as cutting, welding, heat treatment, and more.
Formed by several Ph.D. in optics and photonics industry, as well as professional engineers who has years of experience in lasers, SwiRoc is capable of laser design, development, manufacturing, and testing. This competitive edge enables SwiRoc to deliver the high performance and cost-efficient laser solution to the customers.
While being certified with A+ award by Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, SwiRoc’s laser products and effort are also recognized by ITRI and worldwide customers.
